The dependence on maritime transport due to Finland\u2019s geopolitical position is widely understood. Finnish shipping companies have internationally competitive operating conditions. They are pioneers in responsible maritime operations. The industry is ambitiously progressing towards zero-emission shipping. Shipping companies have access to a sufficiently skilled workforce.<\/p>\n

Strategic objectives 2030<\/h4>\n

1. Finnish shipping companies are internationally competitive. The operational conditions of the shipping industry are stable and predictable. Overlapping regulation is avoided. The special characteristics of Finland\u2019s winter navigation are considered in international regulation.<\/p>\n

2. Sufficient and diverse Finnish shipping operations ensure critical maritime transport for security of supply. The industry is prepared for changes in the security environment.<\/p>\n

3. Finnish shipping companies are widely recognized as responsible actors and pioneers in adopting emission-reducing technologies and digital solutions. Fossil-free fuels are sufficiently available at competitive prices.<\/p>\n

4. Skilled, motivated, and well-being personnel are our strength. The industry attracts new professionals, and the expertise meets the demands of a rapidly changing environment. The education system has been developed to meet these needs.<\/p>\n
