Godby Shipping has completed the purchase of the RoRo vessel Transporter

We are pleased to announce that today, November 19, we have completed the purchase of the RoRo vessel Transporter from Eckerö Shipping, Mariehamn and Transporter is now officially ours. Transporter, being the sister vessel of mv Aurora suits very well into our fleet.

Transporter is currently on time charter to DFDS in their liner trade between Fredrikstad and Halden (Norway), Zeebrugge (Belgium), and Immingham (UK). The vessel will continue the charter to DFDS until the end of December 2026, with further options.

The vessel will keep its name, Transporter.

With Transporter, our fleet now consists of eight vessels, strengthening our position as a reliable tonnage provider in the smaller segment of the RoRo market. We believe the demand for this type of vessels will remain strong.
